Categories: junkyard, holidays, obama, racism, education, april foolswhat’s this? the junkyard on a monday? yep… turns out the junkyard is one of our most popular features here on the durnmoose blog, both with us here at moose central and with you, our faithful readers… but the one complaint that we’ve gotten repeatedly is that it has simply grown too long to take in in one setting… so, ever responsive, your friendly neighborhood moose has made an executive decision… from now on, the junkyard, just like the moosing will be a daily feature… this will allow us not only to limit the number of items posted each day, but also to bring you hopefully fresher junk… be sure to chime in and let us know what you think of the new format… and, of course, if you have items that you think we should let everyone know about, be sure to pass those along to us, too… just email ‘em to durnmoose at durnmoose dot com… ok, on with today’s items!
(oh, and for those of you asking what that means for friday, well, you’ll just have to come back then and find out… hopefully we’ll have something figured out by then…)
item! for those of you looking for something to celebrate, today is carob bean day…
item! this may be a leftover april fool’s day item, but we’ll go with it anyway, if for no other reason than to be able to print “grow your own viagra” in our headline today….
item! minutemen call off rally when kkk show up - after all, they don’t want to be associated with those racists…
item! from the london times: “Teachers are dropping controversial subjects such as the Holocaust and the Crusades from history lessons because they do not want to cause offence to children from certain races or religions, a report claims.” apparently education now takes a back seat to not making people feel bad… oh, wait, that’s not really new, is it?
item! just in case there was any doubt who is going to be annointed messiah elected president…
item! not that we’re trying to say that w is anything like nixon or anything…
last item! finally, a follow-up to our morning moosing on april fools day pranks… from bbc news, a report on some of the most successful pranks carried out in the last 50 years… including switzerland’s famed spaghetti harvest…
ok, let’s start things off with a major announcement that came from the good folks at google yesterday… seems they’ve found a way to provide free
